Silicone seals are a common product in life. Although they are small, they play a very important role. They play an important role in the sealing and preservation of certain products. So how did it go from collagen to silicone seals?
Silicone rubber seals with complex shapes, such as leather bowls and sealing rings, are made using common molding methods. The rubber is placed in the mold and heated with the help of a yin and yang mold.
For more complex silicone rubber seals, such as tire treads, rubber hoses and wire surface coatings, injection molding is required.

This is a continuous molding method in which the rubber mixture is formed into an extruder funnel under female extrusion through various holes (also called templates). Prior to extrusion, the rubber must be preheated to make it soft and easy to extrude to obtain a smooth surface and the exact dimensions of the silicone rubber seal.
