What is the difference between a silicone pad and a rubber pad

In the use of silicone mats, our application environment is different, so for some occasions, our silicone and rubber applications are different, and the effects and characteristics are different.

Silicone products are also one of the types of rubber products. The difference between silicone and rubber lies in the use of toxic and non-toxic. The burn, the silicone burns without the open flame. When the smoke burns, the smoke is white. When the rubber burns, it emits black smoke, and the pungent is black, which has a strong taste.

Today's silica gel products use non-toxic and environmentally friendly synthetic rubber and natural rubber. Synthetic rubbers include neoprene, butadiene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, and the like. The structure of the natural rubber is a high polymer, and the rubber can be quickly recovered when it is deformed by the external force, and has good chemical stability and mechanical properties. It has good flexibility and can be used in some high and low temperature resistant applications. However, rubber products are not as good for low temperature applications as silicone products. In many respects, we now choose to replace the rubber products with silicone products.
