2 Pandas To Leave For Russia For 15-Year Research Project

Pandas Ruyi and Dingding will soon complete their quarantine and are going to leave for the Moscow Zoo of Russia by private plane from the Bifengxia Panda Base ( a giant panda research and breeding facility in Bifengxia Town, Ya'an, Sichuan, China). The first project of Panda protection study between China and Russia will be initiated. For further promoting the international cooperation of Panda protection research, and to improve the ability of endangered species protection of China and Russia, in February, China Wildlife Conservation Association and the Russa Moscow Zoo signed an agreement on the protection and research cooperation of giant pandas. This agreement is vaild for 15 years. According to the agreement terms, Moscow Zoo has arranged professional feeders and veterinaries to the Panda base to learn the medical knowledges and how to take care of Pandas.
