Plastic ice molds are poor on low temperature resistance. They have bigger rate of thermal expansion, to be easily flammable and out of shape. Most of the plastic molds are prone to be fragile and old.

Silicone Ice Mold

Silicone molds do better on temperature resistance. Anti-temperature ability is from -40℃to 230℃. They have longer use-life, are softer and more flexible that will not out of shape. Silicone with food grade certification is eco-friendly and non toxic.

Practicality

Plastic ice molds with mainly the square shapes often make people hard to take complete shaped ice cubes out from hard molds. Low plasticity limits the possibility of multiple designs on plastic ice molds.

Silicone as a kind of soft rubber can be used to make ice molds in various shapes, and it’s easy to take perfect shaped ice out from silicone ice molds.
