The story of coaster began from the bars. If back to the bars of the 19th century, you would find there were some pieces of felts or cloth. With the development of society and improvement of technology of coaster production, since the middle of 20th century, people increasingly used beer coasters in home or office but no longer limited in bars. DIY coasters with various kinds of materials became popular since that time.
